In the meeting of the planning council of the Supreme Leader's representative office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab said that sending pilgrims to the shrines in the form of convoys under the supervision of this organization is being done, and stressed the need for more planning and effort and better quality to the benefit of pilgrims in Hajj and pilgrimage caravans.

According to the Hajj information base, in this meeting which was presided by Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs presented statistics on the number of pilgrims sent by the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization and others in 1402, asked the officials of the organization while examining the current situation and monitoring more, they should pay attention to the correction of the issues in the area of Atabat and try to provide better services.


In this meeting, Mr. Hamid Reza Mohammadi, deputy head of Atabat of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, announced that the number of pilgrims sent to Pilgrimage last month was 70,000, and pointing out that 56,000 people have registered so far this month, and said, "Recently, together with the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to Iraq, the degree of improvement in various areas, including accommodation, food and intercity travel has been reviewed and changes are being made according to the orders given."


In the continuation of this meeting, Seyed Abbas Hosseini, the head of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, presented a report on the status of the resumption of Umrah trips and the capacity built in the two cities of Mecca and Medina for the start of Umrah pilgrims' trips.


Stating that the preliminary registration and grouping of pilgrims will be announced within the next few days, he said that arrangements have been made with the operating banks to deposit pilgrims' funds and the first caravans will be from Tehran province.


Based on this report, in this meeting, while making video and audio communication with the delegation representatives of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to Saudi Arabia, the latest measures taken regarding the upcoming Hajj and Umrah trips by Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei, Deputy Hajj and Umrah of this organization, and Hossein Esmaili, the Director of Supervision and Inspection of the Supreme Leader's office was explained.


Representatives sent to Saudi Arabia, referring to the follow-up regarding the procurement of procurement items, the conclusion of contracts with kitchens and rest stops on the way, and the negotiations with service companies in Mushaira, from the end of the rental of housing for the upcoming Hajj in Medina and the provision of more than 90% of it reported in Mecca and added that 11 hotels in Medina and six hotels in Mecca have been finalized for Umrah and the forecast for sending pilgrims in the month of Sha'ban is also being followed up.


In this meeting, Mr. Hamid Rahbari, Deputy Director of Management and Resource Development of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, also reported on the preparations and plans for the start of the Umrah operation, stating that some bylaws in the Hajj area are aimed at reducing factors and increasing the quality of services. It has been revised, and said that more than 6,000 brokers are being retrained.


According to this report, the Supreme Leader's representative in matters of Hajj and Pilgrimage asked the head and vice president of development of management and resources of the Hajj Organization to take action regarding the activities of the medical board in this field and make the necessary arrangements so that the pilgrims can benefit from these services. 


He also pointed to the report presented about the average age of the managers of convoys and complexes, and stressed that along with pathology, the recruitment of new and capable managers should also be pursued.
