At the meeting of Planning and Coordination Council of Supreme Leader Delegation Office and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, deputy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Atabat affairs announced the capacity building to send 51,900 pilgrims in the form of pilgrimage caravans under the supervision of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization on land and air trips to Atabat-e-Aliyat in Esfand.

According to the Hajj information base, Mr. Hamid Reza Mohammadi added at the meeting which was chaired by Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs Hojjat al-Islam Seyed Abdolfattah Navvab that 39,000 people have completed the registration so far and the completion of the capacity is underway.


The average of air dispatch during the year was 30%, which increased to 41% in Esfand, he added.


According to Mr. Mohammadi, more than 25,300 capacity has been created and 50% of registrations have been made between Esfand 9th and Farvardin 23th , 1403.


Registration for Nowruz last year was about 24,000 people, which has increased by 6% this year, he said.


Dispatching pilgrims on holy month of Ramadan will continue from Esfand 23 to farvardin 21, and so far 31,150 capacities have been created, which shows 65% increase compared to the same period last year.


He mentioned the provinces of Tehran, Khorasan Razavi and Qom as the provinces that provided the most capacity for these days and added: period of stay during Nowruz is 7 days and 6 nights, and for a small number of caravans, the length of the trip is defined from three to five nights, and 30 operating companies are active in sending pilgrims to Atabat in Nowruz.


In Bahman, this year, 55,320 people were registered and sent to Aatbat, which has increased by 59% compared to February of the previous year, deputy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization in Atabat affairs also said.


In the continuation of the meeting, Supreme Leader’s representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage Affairs called for providing various packages for the greater use of pilgrims during Nowruz and Ramadan.


He also asked the officials of Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization to pay attention to long-term packages in this area, considering the people's desire for spiritual pilgrimage, especially in pilgrimage cities.


Emphasizing on paying attention to the rights of pilgrims, Hojjjat al-Islam Navvab said: officials and executives should carefully consider providing services to pilgrims.


Chairman of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Mr. Seyyed Abbas Hosseini explained at the meeting the process of the measures taken regarding the 1403 Hajj and the assignment of remaining capacities in some provinces to accept pre-registered pilgrims and stated that the instructions for selecting executive agents of Hajj caravans will be notified to the provinces by the end of this week.
