According to Hajj Information Base, during the meeting which was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Hojjat al-Islam Seyyed Abdolfattah Navvab, the Supreme Leader's representative for Hajj and Pilgrimage, Mr. Hamid Reza Mohammadi added that in this period, which includes Esfand 23 to Farvardin 9, capacity building has been done for dispatch of 32,000 pilgrims in the form of 111 pilgrimage caravans under the supervision of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization.


He added that 61% of the caravans are sent by land and 39% by air, and compared to the previous year, we have seen a 31% increase in the number of pilgrims sent.


Pointing out that various packages have been planned for these days, the deputy director of the Hajj Organization for Atabat, said that in this period, 33 operating companies participate in sending pilgrims through 11 flight stations, and Tehran province has contributed the most in sending pilgrims.


In the continuation of this meeting, Hojjaj Islam Hossein Behjati and Hossein Kardan, the officials of the representative offices of the Supreme Leader's mission in Karbala and Najaf, explained about the activities and plans carried out to provide cultural services during the Nowruz celebrations, the handover ceremony and the issues and problems of pilgrims in their journeys. They reported a pilgrimage to the sacred shrine in Iraq.


Appreciating the efforts made in the field of Atabat, the Supreme Leader's representative in Hajj and Pilgrimage affairs said that with prioritization, more measures should be taken step by step in solving the problems of movement and more measures in this field to provide better conditions for pilgrims.


The meeting continued with the report of Mr. Gholamreza Rezaei, Hajj and Umrah deputy of the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization, about the measures being followed in the country and Saudi Arabia in connection with the Hajj 1403, and he announced that 99% of the total capacity announced in the provinces had been completed. 


Mr. Rezaei also pointed to the measures taken to introduce the managers of the collections, determine the status of the kitchens in the host country, supply the food needed by the kitchens, intercity transportation in the upcoming Hajj and said that flight schedules are back and being followed up and finalized.


Referring to the importance of cultural activities and programs, the representative of the Supreme Leader in matters of Hajj and Pilgrimage asked the cultural deputy of the Supreme Leader's mission to provide the best possible field for the activities of cultural liaisons while coordinating with the relevant deputies in the organization of Hajj and Pilgrimage.


The meeting ended with the report of Dr. Taher Daroudi, Vice President of Hajj and Umrah, Hajj and Pilgrimage Medical Center of the Red Crescent Society, about the beginning and continuation of medical examinations of upcoming Hajj pilgrims and the planning done to provide services to the pilgrims of our country. Regarding the examination process, he emphasized the necessity of informing the pilgrims about bringing the required specialized medicines with a doctor's prescription.
