According to Hajj Information Base, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab, who has traveled to Thailand, met with Dr. Bendhit U. Arpon, the president of Chula University, and discussed ways to increase scientific cooperation between the two countries through the Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Institute.


During the meeting, Hojjat al-Islam Navvab explained about Iran's extensive activities in the three fields of implementation, medicine and culture of Hajj, as well as the readiness of the mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran for scientific exchanges and cooperation with Chula University through the Research Institute of Hajj and Pilgrimage. The president of Chula University also described Iran with a long history in the field of civilization and science, and pointed out the readiness of his university to increase scientific cooperation with Iran.


Dr. Arpon explained the procedure of this university in attracting students from different religions and pointed out the provision of scholarships to non-Thai students, including Iranians, in doctoral and post-doctoral degrees.


Hojjat al-Islam Navvab further explained the objectives of his trip to Thailand and visiting Chula University and reminded the role of scientific interactions and exchanges in influencing the socio-political relations of countries.

He also explained about the establishment of the Halal Studies Center at Chula University in order to check the Halal standard in food, pharmaceutical and health products.


In this meeting, which was also attended by the cultural advisor of our country in Thailand, Mr. Mehdi Zare emphasized the readiness for more communication in the cultural field and demanded the issuance of an order by the president of Chula University to implement the previous understandings.


Hojjat al-Islam Mansour Mir Ahmadi, the vice president of international affairs of Ba'ath, also announced his readiness to provide the necessary groundwork for scientific exchange with the Hajj and Pilgrimage Research Center and the possibility of connecting Chula University with Iranian universities through Iran's cultural exchange regarding Hajj studies.
